One of the things we really enjoy doing here at VMTurbo is to get out and meet with users and virtualization practitioners.We recently had the pleasure of being introduced to the Boston Virtualization User Group. This group discusses all manner of virtualization issues (and is very healthy in terms of membership and involvement!)
At their November meeting, we had the honor of presenting to this group, spending a very enjoyable hour getting to know them a little better and discussing some of the considerations that plague us all when trying to maximize application performance with limited physical resources.
The discussion centered around the theories of application performance vs utilization, and some of the practices that either improved or worsened application performance. (The pizza was pretty good too!) The video below is an excerpt from the evening:
